Nutrition Counseling Services
Personalized and Compassionate Nutrition Therapy
During our 60-90 minute initial nutrition appointment, I will do a thorough intake to truly understand you. I will learn more about your lifestyle, stress levels, sleep habits, hormone health, social engagement, eating patterns and more. Then, I will personalize a nutrition wellness plan to fit your unique needs. I follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

During our 45-60 minute follow up nutrition appointments, we will dive deep into your relationship to food and body, goals related to health and wellness, and whether your symptoms are improving. I meet with my clients every 1-2 weeks at first, depending on what level of support you need.

After learning more about your favorite foods, authentic food preferences, foods that bring you joy, as well as the foods you don't like, I put together personalized recipe collections and meal plans. This is especially beneficial for busy working professionals and families, and those who are in recovery from an eating disorder.

I use a platform called Rupa Health, designed for health professionals to recommend nutrition testing when appropriate. This may be helpful if you feel like you have tried everything, but haven't been able to get to the root cause of why your symptoms haven't improved. Examples of nutrition testing include microbiome and digestive health testing, testing to help understand stress levels, or testing to help understand nutrient levels.

I use a platform called Fullscript that allows me to make individualized supplement recommendations, if we agree that this will benefit your nutrition journey. Supplements may be helpful for digestive distress, poor sleep, or inflammation.
During a 2-3 hour in home cooking lesson, you will learn various kitchen skills, meal prep and batch cooking techniques, become more comfortable with flavor pairing and more. This is also great for those who are learning to trust their relationship with food again and need some support in the kitchen. In home cooking lessons are covered by insurance. **Available in the Portland area only.

Let's meet at your favorite grocery store and learn how to make shopping efficient, fun and easy. During this 60-90 minute educational grocery store tour, we will implement the work we do together in session in a real world way. Grocery store tours are great for those who were recently diagnosed with a health condition and need to change their diet, for those who want to learn more about food in general, or for those who have disordered eating and want to explore grocery shopping with support. Grocery store tours are covered by insurance. **Available in the Portland area only.
