My Approach is Unique
I love working with people who have a clear motivation for change, who are willing to be creative and open minded in their approach to managing their nutrition, and who like working as a team. I value open communication and transparency with my clients. My work is relational and puts you at the center of your care team. I especially value working with clients who want to explore a healthy relationship with food and body, and who want to reclaim their quality of life, rather than focusing on calorie counting and weight loss.

I like to think of your nutrition patterns as one slice of the pie (or pizza!) of your life. I use a dynamic, person first, holistic and comprehensive approach which involves understanding all the other slices too; sleep patterns, stress levels, social engagement, food culture, trauma, workplace behaviors and patterns, current health care access, and so much more.

I Meet You Where You Are
Hi, my name is Caitlin. I am so happy you are here.
I have a Master of Science in Nutrition (MS) and have been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) since 2018. I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor (CIEC) and have training in Functional Nutrition, as well as a background in Therapeutic Cooking. I am licensed to practice in Washington and Oregon, but can also legally see clients in the states listed above.
When I was 25, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. This experience radically changed my life; it was incredibly hard to adjust to. Along the way, I worked with healthcare practitioners who didn’t listen to me, didn’t get to know me, and gave me a “one size fits all” approach. But I also had the opportunity of working with a dietitian who took the time to hear my story, validated my experience and gave me hope. This is when I knew I wanted to pursue nutrition as a career and support my own community in the same way. I became a dietitian so that I could provide health advocacy, compassionate care, and whole person nutrition support to all people.
It is my diverse and unique background that allows me to hear you, see you, support you and offer you individualized, personalized and realistic nutrition guidance. My approach is always evidence based and compassionate. Together, we will go beyond the surface! With you, I explore how stress levels, sleep patterns, energy levels, digestive health, relationship to food and body, food culture and lifestyle behaviors impact your overall health and wellness. It turns out, it is so much more than what you eat!

I specialize in intuitive eating, body trust and relationship to food, disordered eating, diabetes health and blood sugar management (type 1, type 2, gestational and LADA), digestive health (IBD, IBS, SIBO, constipation, diarrhea and other conditions of gut dysbiosis), cholesterol and heart health, autoimmune conditions, general inflammation, kidney health, nutrition for the elderly, pediatric nutrition, nutrition through pregnancy, and general health and wellness. I approach all of my clients with an “all foods fit” and weight neutral approach. This means that I will always help you to add in therapeutic foods before eliminating them, and I do not promote weight loss as a health goal.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, dancing, spending time with my animals, reading, hiking, socializing, cooking, trying new restaurants/bars/coffee shops, and creating various forms of art.
